The Highlands Street Fair offers handmade art, street tacos, and live music. If you visit 32nd Avenue one June Saturday with sunshine, the fair includes Denver's friendliest people. What happens if you have not been to there? The event is something you will surely desire, trust me.
This Saturday, June 21st, the Highlands Street Fair is back from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.—more joyful, tastier, louder, HOTTER, and bigger than in prior years.
Believe it or not, this neighborhood celebration is massive at this point. It started from over 40 years ago when even a clown played, and a guitar was strummed, also people danced, but a local Boy Scout troop performed for 45 minutes. That’s it. On this day, thousands of Denverites flood West 32nd Street from Perry to Irving for this all-day open-air festival that is featuring over 180 vendors plus two music stages and much more energy than you'd find in a Red Rocks encore.
Community pride, food, music, small business love, coupled with Highlands charm make it a perfect mix.
Let’s talk vendors. You will find everything that is locally made including vintage fashion as well as plant shops plus pet gear with one-of-a-kind jewelry and hand-poured candles. The food? Just bring stretchy pants. You name it—wood—fired pizza, Bohemian Wurst gourmet sausage, street tacos, up to Polar Bros. Nitro Ice Cream. Yes, craft brew or perhaps spiked lemonade are adult beverage options for those who are looking to cool off.
Two stages are going to host live music for all of the day, with some acts that are from local indie and blues to energetic cover bands and a taiko drum group shaking pavement.
Also this year there is a kid zone including bounce houses games crafts excitement enough for happy little ones as you browse pottery or sip your brew.
After a 7-year break, Orangetheory Fitness returns this year with a pop-up workout area. Come ready with a smoothie or cheer them onward while sweating.
This is not merely another Denver street fair. It’s personal.
Nostalgic Homes which is my team and real estate family does proudly sponsor the Highlands Street Fair on an annual basis. I remember when we put a booth on the corner of 32nd & Newton. Handing out free swag, enjoying the buzz on the block, meeting new neighbors, and talking about historic homes while reconnecting with past clients has become a summer tradition.
This community is deeply loved by us; we live work and play here. Highlands' fascinating appeal includes this event as a top offering. The architecture is on display as are the walkability, the people, and the porch parties.
We also celebrate many artists, small businesses, and food vendors that make this area unique. Since we are a team then supporting them is indeed part of our identity so we wear our longtime sponsor status with pride.
You should arrive early so that you get the best parking available. If you are nearby, biking or walking is better.
Bring sunscreen, water, plus a tote bag. You will want to bring something you find back home.
We are the ones who are smiling from behind all the vintage bungalow signs—say hi to us at the Nostalgic Homes booth.
This day feels magical—the Highlands become like the city's welcoming front porch. Discover why this event is so popular if you’re a Denver newcomer or long-time local. If you happen to be just visiting during the weekend, then also come to see the event.
We’ll be there cheering for the drummers and grabbing tacos. A further year for community and music with memories is going to be celebrated.
I cannot wait for me to see you at that location.
